Frequently asked questions

Answers to common questions

How does registration work?
  1. Choose your sex and ticket, then enter the participant details.
  2. Choose whether to subscribe to the optional Žuvelė newsletter and click “Proceed to payment”. We will email you a link to continue payment if the payment process is interrupted or unsuccessful.
  3. Complete the payment.
  4. We will email you when the payment has been received. If payment succeeded but the email has not arrived, do not pay again: an administrator will check the payment and registration.
  5. An administrator will review your registration and send a separate participation confirmation, usually within a few working days. This email contains two important links: participant details and retreat information.
  6. Open the participant details link, check all the information, complete anything missing and save your changes. For a whole double-room booking, complete the second participant’s details too.
  7. Open the retreat information link for the programme, arrival details and important updates. Keep it handy: this is your central information page before and throughout the retreat.
  8. To manage or cancel participation, check information or write to the organisers, return to the retreat information and management page. If management is locked, request a secure link to the booking email. One email confirmation unlocks both accommodation changes and cancellation, subject to the applicable deadlines; no account sign-in is needed.
When is my place actually confirmed?

Your place is finally confirmed when an administrator sends you a separate participation confirmation email. After receiving payment, the administrator checks the registration and available places, including whether several people attempted to buy the last place at nearly the same time. The payment-received email is therefore not the final participation confirmation. If anything needs clarification, the administrator will contact you.

What should I do if money was debited but I did not receive confirmation?

Please allow a few working days for the administrator to check your payment and registration. If payment succeeded, do not pay again. Check your spam folder too. If there is a problem, the administrator will contact you using the details you provided. If you still have no confirmation after a few working days, email info@zuvele.lt with your name, retreat, payment date and reference.

How does the waiting list work?

If there are no places left, you may still be able to attend: participants sometimes cancel. Join the waiting list and select every ticket option that suits you.

Your original registration date is retained for every selected option. Invitations follow registration order within each ticket group. For a whole double room, the priority is: a whole room for two, a private room for one, then a shared place. Participation without accommodation has a separate queue.

When a suitable place becomes available, we send invitations one at a time, at least 3 minutes apart, during daytime hours. An invitation or opening its link does not reserve the place. Starting payment temporarily holds it. If you miss the opportunity or someone else buys the place, your original position is retained for the next opportunity.

What does participation without accommodation include?

This option is not offered for this retreat. This ticket is for one participant attending the retreat without using a bedroom. It includes the programme and meals described on this page and occupies one participant place.

What does a place in a shared room include?

The 160,00 EUR ticket is for one person in a double room shared with one other participant of the same sex. Participants choosing this option are accommodated in pairs; a single room is not assigned for this ticket.

What does a whole double room for two people include?

This option is not offered for this retreat. This ticket reserves an entire double room for two people. Both participants stay together and nobody else is placed in their room. This is one order and one ticket occupying two participant places. Complete the second participant’s details after payment.

How does a private room for one person work?

This option is not offered for this retreat. This ticket guarantees that you will stay alone. A single room is assigned first. If none are available, an entire double room is reserved for you alone, with no other participant placed there.

What is included in the price?

All ticket options include participation in the retreat programme and the meals described on this page. A ticket with accommodation also includes the selected room or bed for the retreat dates. A ticket without accommodation does not include a bedroom. The whole double-room price covers both participants, including their programme, meals and accommodation. See the practical information section for the meal schedule and arrival details.

How do I choose or change my meals?

You can choose the standard or vegetarian menu during registration. After participation is confirmed, open the participant details link in your confirmation email, choose your menu and save the changes. Complete these details no later than one week before the retreat. Please also specify allergies or other dietary needs; individual arrangements must be agreed with the organisers. If details can no longer be edited, contact the organisers through the retreat information page or at info@zuvele.lt.

Will photographs be taken during the retreat?

A few general event photographs may be taken to document Žuvelė activities. By registering, you agree that you may appear in these general photographs. We will not take photographs deliberately highlighting a single participant.

Can I request a particular roommate?

Write the preferred roommate’s first and last name in the registration comment. Shared-room participants stay with another participant of the same sex. The organisers will consider your request, but it is not a separate room reservation and can only be confirmed when the final room plan is prepared. After registering, you can also email info@zuvele.lt to ask whether a roommate change is still possible.

When can I cancel and receive a refund?

You can cancel participation on the retreat information and management page. Before you confirm cancellation, it shows the refundable amount. If management is locked, request a secure link to the booking email. One email confirmation unlocks both cancellation and accommodation changes without signing in to an account.

The same refund rules apply to all Žuvelė retreats and to the amount actually paid: at least 30 calendar days before the retreat – 100%; 29–8 days – 80%; 7–2 days – 70%. One day before, on the first day or after the retreat begins, no refund is available. Participation can still be cancelled on the first day. A whole double-room booking is cancelled and refunded as one joint order.

Can I change between participation with and without accommodation?

Yes. Open the retreat information and management page. If necessary, confirm management access once through the booking email; this unlocks both accommodation changes and cancellation without signing in to an account. You can request a change while at least 8 calendar days remain. The form shows the options currently available for your booking. The purchaser manages a two-person order.

If the new option costs more, your current place remains valid while the new option is temporarily held until you pay the exact difference. If it costs less, you can request the difference by bank transfer or leave it as a donation to Žuvelė. With 7 days or fewer remaining, contact the organisers: only an administrator can make the change if a suitable place is available.

How and when are refunds made?

If the original payment supports an automatic refund, the system submits the calculated amount to the payment provider. When it reaches your account depends on your bank and the provider. Cash, bank-transfer, older or technically inconclusive payments are referred to the organisers for a manual refund. If the provider’s response is unclear, no second automatic refund is attempted: the organisers check the situation. You can follow the recorded status on the retreat information and management page.

My registration is confirmed but I cannot see a room number. Is my accommodation booked?

Yes. If your participation is confirmed and your ticket includes accommodation, your accommodation is booked. A specific room number may be assigned later when the organisers prepare the room plan. It will appear on your retreat information page. The absence of a room number does not cancel your accommodation.

We booked a room for two but one person can no longer attend. What should we do?

The purchaser can open the retreat information and management page and change the booking to an available one-person option. If a private room is offered, it may be a single room or a double room for your sole use. The form shows its current price. You can also choose a shared place if offered in the form, or participation without accommodation if places are available.

When you change to a one-person ticket, only the purchaser remains registered and the other participant’s place is cancelled. The form shows the price difference: request a bank-transfer refund or choose to leave it as support for Žuvelė. With 7 days or fewer remaining, contact the organisers.

When must I complete participant details and choose meals?

Complete and check every participant’s details, including the second person in a two-person booking, no later than one week before the retreat starts. Choose the standard or vegetarian menu and tell us about allergies and other dietary needs. The personal information page shows the exact deadline in Lithuanian time. We provide the final meal information to the kitchen three days before the retreat. After the deadline, or if you register later, send the missing information or corrections to the organisers at info@zuvele.lt.

I lost the email or entered the wrong email address. How can I get my link?

If you lost the email, check your spam folder or write to info@zuvele.lt with your name and retreat. If you entered the wrong email address and already paid, send proof of payment and your correct address. The organisers will check the payment, correct the address and send the link once participation is confirmed. Do not pay again. If you entered the wrong address but have not paid, register again with the correct address.

May I arrive late or leave early?

We recommend arriving on time and taking part in the whole retreat: arriving late or leaving early means missing part of the shared experience. For the usual Friday–Sunday retreat, please arrive before the first Friday meeting after dinner; ideally, arrive at the time shown in the programme. If unavoidable, Saturday morning arrival may be arranged. Contact the organisers in advance at info@zuvele.lt about a late arrival or early departure so you can agree the practical details. For other retreat dates, follow the published programme.

Understanding retreats

Time for God, prayer and a renewed heart.

Retreats are a few days set aside for prayer, the Word of God, silence, and fellowship. Stepping away from our usual rhythm helps us hear more clearly what is happening in our heart, recognize God’s invitation, and return to everyday life renewed.

Jesus himself withdrew to quiet places to pray. A retreat is therefore not an escape from life: it helps us return to it with greater peace and a clearer direction.

Step away from daily haste and focus on what truly matters.

Open the heart to God’s Word through Scripture, prayer and teaching.

Look more calmly at your desires, relationships, fears and important decisions.

Return to daily life with greater inner peace and one concrete next step.

The fruits of a retreat often become clearer after returning to everyday life—in prayer, relationships and the decisions we make.

A welcome for every seeker

Who might a retreat be for?

A retreat may be especially helpful if you:

  • feel tired of constant pace and noise;
  • want to renew your relationship with God;
  • seek clarity about an important life decision;
  • long for deeper prayer;
  • are living through change, loss or a difficult season;
  • have walked the path of faith for years or are only beginning.

No special experience or knowledge of prayer is required. You may come to a retreat with questions.

A simple and safe rhythm

What can you expect?

  • Holy Mass and personal and communal prayer;
  • listening to the Word of God and teaching;
  • silence and time for personal reflection;
  • an opportunity for Reconciliation or a conversation with a priest;
  • simple fellowship with other participants.

Each retreat program may differ. You will find its precise description on the selected event page.

You will not be asked to share personal experiences publicly. You may take part only as much as you are ready for at that time.
